How to file a Cigna claim

First steps

Before you receive medical care from Cigna Global, precertify the procedure to make sure your insurance policy covers the treatment. In order to file a claim with Cigna, first contact us at claims@expatinsurance.com. Refer to the chart below for a quick illustration of the process.

We also recommend emailing cignaglobal_customer.care@cigna.com with your policy number (which begins with a 9) and any other relevant documentation (such as your completed claims form). That way, there will be a paper-trail in the event of any confusion down the road. If you are unable to call the English contact numbers, you can request a callback from this link.

When you are connected to a customer service worker, they will ask for your policy number. This is the fastest way to confirm your insurance status. We recommend carrying your insurance card on you at all times so that you have this number readily available. Once they have verified your insurance status, they will attempt to set up a direct-pay agreement with the hospital where you are located.
